Infrared Light Therapy for Hormonal Health.

Infrared Red Light should be your best friend... now hear me out. As a lot of my clients know, I am extremely passionate about women's hormonal health and the things we can do to live and feel better every day. Because I suffer from PCOS myself, I know the struggle of how hormones can really make or break your day at times.

After doing a lot of research and trying it out for myself, I can honestly say that infrared light is a game changer. To avoid getting too "sciencey" and keep it simple, your body is made up of millions of cells, and the health of those cells will determine your well- being. Infrared light works by using specific wavelengths of light to stimulate our cellular function. When these light wavelengths touch our skin, they're absorbed by our mitochondria- our cells

'little' powerhouses helping them to produce ATP, which is basically the energy currency

of life.

But how does this all tie into your hormonal health? By using these wavelengths, it can stimulate testosterone production and help regulate estrogen levels. It also reduces inflammation in the body, which is great for endometriosis and period cramps. It has been shown to give our ovarian function a major boost and assist with the creation and maturation of eggs within our ovaries. Hormonal regulation is complex, and I've definitely realized it takes consistency and patience. I'll keep you updated on my journey, but adding sessions of infrared light has definitely had an amazing impact on my PCOS and hormonal health.
